The traumatology department is located in the Regional Clinical Hospital No. 2 on Melnikayte Street. At the entrance, patients on crutches are already visible, which has become a common sight for the winter period.
Two reception departments are functioning: general and specialized traumatology, which are connected by a corridor.
At the entrance, duty staff help visitors orient themselves and get tickets from terminals. Despite the morning influx, no significant queue is observed at the registration desk, indicating efficient flow organization.
In the traumatology department itself, the queue moves quite quickly, considering that this is the only such point in the city. The greatest gathering of people is noted at the radiologist«s office. The nature of injuries varies: from bruises to deep cuts.
Among those who sought help is a woman who slipped in the evening and by morning discovered a swollen knee. Several elderly women came with consequences of falls on the street and at home. Many sought help only after their condition worsened.
Medics recommend not delaying a visit to the doctor when injuries occur. In some cases, it is possible to claim compensation for falling on an uncleared sidewalk. Experts explain how to do this. The formation of ice is related to persistent frosts, which, according to forecasts, will continue for some time.
