Law enforcement agencies have completed the identification of two men who died in a road traffic accident on the Tyumen — Khanty-Mansiysk highway.
The fatal collision between a Volvo truck and a Lada Granta car occurred on January 30 in the Uvat District of Tyumen Region.
The GIBDD press service reported: «Preliminarily, the 32-year-old driver, operating a passenger car, veered into the oncoming lane. As a result of the accident, the driver and a 39-year-old passenger of the Lada died. The circumstances of the road traffic accident are being investigated.»
Both deceased were residents of the village of Salym, located in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug.
The accident occurred at the 500th kilometer of the federal highway, where difficult weather conditions complicated traffic that day.
During the same period in Tyumen, a separate incident occurred: a woman, crossing the roadway in an unauthorized place, tripped and was hit by a car, but survived after a strong impact.
