Kazan couple holds helicopter gender reveal at airshow

A resident of Kazan, who learned the gender of her unborn child at the «I Choose the Sky» aviation festival, told how she managed to arrange such an unusual celebration. The woman«s name is Aisylu Mansurova, and she shared the story on her social media.

«Yesterday I watched the preparations for the »I Choose the Sky« event, and the pilot was performing such cool maneuvers. It was incredibly beautiful and scary! I watched with admiration,» Aisylu said in a video.

A day before the airshow, the expectant mother and her husband went for an ultrasound, where the doctor determined the baby«s gender and wrote it on an envelope. The woman remembered the show and decided to write to the organizers — the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan. She posted a screenshot of the message on her social media.

«My husband Rustam and I have been walking toward our cherished dream for 7 years. Seven long years of faith, waiting, and struggle. And now — a miracle happened! I got pregnant. We want this »first introduction« to be special. I apologize in advance for my boldness,» Aisylu wrote.

The wait for a response from officials was short.

«I got a call and they said: »Bring the envelope!« I was in shock! I don»t know what will happen, whether they can approve it and do something nice for us,« Aisylu shared in the video.

The couple was invited to the celebration itself, where they were called onto the stage. And from there, the future parents watched as a helicopter sprayed pink color right over the Kazanka River.

Aisylu posted two videos telling how she managed to arrange the gender reveal and how it all went. Both videos quickly went viral on social media: the first gained 255,000 views, the second — 40,000.

Recall that the traditional Kazan airshow «I Choose the Sky» took place this year on August 1. Fighter jets from the «Strizhi» aerobatic team, a Tu-214, and an «Ansat» helicopter flew over the city.
