A 17-year-old resident of Zabaykalsky Krai, who was involved in a traffic accident on the night of January 31 in the center of Krasnokamensk, has fallen into a coma. This was reported to a correspondent of Chita.Ru by the regional health minister Oksana Nemakina.

It was previously reported that the 17-year-old driver, who was driving a Toyota Vista, lost control on Central Street, veered off the roadway and crashed into a metal lighting pole. He and his mother, who was a passenger in the car, were injured. Both were taken to Regional Hospital No. 4.

«The minor victim is currently in serious condition — he is in intensive care, in a coma,» the minister said.

The driver«s mother, according to Oksana Nemakina, is in moderately serious condition — she is conscious.
