Spring knocks as warming hits Bashkiria on January's last day

On the last day of January, a sharp warming is expected in Bashkiria — temperatures will reach spring-like values. At the same time, as forecasters say, the past year was anomalously warm. They also told what the weather will be like today, January 31.
According to the Bashkir Hydrometeorological Center (Bashgidromet), snow fell in northern areas overnight, with blizzards in some places (roads were closed in this part of the region the day before), and snowdrifts and ice formed. However, it was calm in the south.
Overall across the republic, daytime temperatures are expected around -1 to -6 degrees Celsius (30 to 21°F). On the roads, visibility is reported to worsen to 1-2 kilometers.
According to the Yandex.Weather report, in Ufa, temperatures are expected to reach up to -7 degrees Celsius (19°F) in the morning, warming to -6°C (21°F) during the day. By evening, snow will fall, and the temperature will drop another degree to around -7°C (19°F) and remain so until morning.
In Sterlitamak, the indicators will be almost the same: in the evening, it will first warm to -5 degrees Celsius (23°F), then the temperature will drop to -6°C (21°F) and -7°C (19°F) at night. No precipitation is expected.
Note that according to the Bashkir Hydrometeorological Center report, the average monthly temperature for February 2026 will be around the norm — about -11.7 degrees Celsius (11°F). Precipitation will also be a decent amount — 20-40 mm.
Moreover, forecasters stated that 2025 was a warm year in the republic — 2.2 degrees above the norm. The average annual temperature was +5.8 degrees Celsius (42°F), while the norm is +3.6°C (38°F). November was called anomalously warm — there, in the first decade of the month, a permanent snow cover did not form. Heavy snow fell only by the end of the first decade of December, which is almost a month later than average.
