We are used to the canonical views of Moscow: St. Basil«s Cathedral on Red Square, the Kremlin walls from the Bolshoy Moskvoretsky and Bolshoy Kamenny bridges, the panorama of Luzhniki Stadium from Vorobyovy Gory, and others. But you can always look at the city in a new way if you find an unusual vantage point — higher up. One opportunity to realize this is a tour of an apartment on the 22nd floor in the legendary residential building on Kotelnicheskaya Embankment.

The residential building on Kotelnicheskaya Embankment is one of the seven Stalinist skyscrapers in Moscow. The building is located near the confluence of the Yauza and Moscow Rivers. The central high-rise section has 32 floors, and its height together with the spire is 176 m.

Such a tour costs 3500 rubles (approximately $38 at current rates). For this money, you get a warm welcome with hot tea and slippers, an engaging story about Moscow«s high-rise buildings, and unique views of the Kremlin, Zaryadye, TSUM, Christ the Savior Cathedral, and the Moscow River, slightly veiled by steam haze from the pipes of Smidovich GES-1. We show how it looks.
