Krasnoyarsk Residents Flood Mayor's Telegram with Thermometer Photos

Residents of Krasnoyarsk have overwhelmed the mayor with complaints about low temperatures in their apartments. It all started when city head Sergey Vereshchagin wrote in his Telegram channel:

«During severe frosts, I demand immediate responses to residents» complaints about cold in apartments. I have instructed district administrations to monitor the resolution of each issue. Both your comments and calls to the «005» service are being taken into account — there have been 17 of them over yesterday and today. The appeals are mostly isolated, with addresses from different districts of the city. I don«t see a systemic failure.»

Within a few hours, about 170 people left comments under his post. In most of them, people complain about cold apartments. Moreover, appeals to the mayor are coming from various districts — from the center and the outskirts.
As proof, residents are sending photos of their thermometers — showing temperatures averaging around +15 to +17 degrees Celsius (59 to 63°F).
Here is what people wrote in the comments:
«Lenina 153… in the apartment, 17-18 degrees Celsius (63-64°F). An elderly person lives there, two turned-on heaters don»t help, they sleep dressed. Calls to the management company don«t help, one entrance in the building is cold for everyone. Where else to turn??»
«We are residents of the White Quarter on Spandaryana! We have mass appeals to the management company — we are freezing!!! New technologies for seamless house assembly and the smart home system have completely failed! In apartments, the temperature reaches 10 degrees Celsius (50°F) on the floor.»
«Kol»tsevaya 2a, temperature 14-15 degrees Celsius (57-59°F), a management company engineer advised buying a heater.«
»Mira 109. We«re already tired of writing requests to the management company, the only response is »adjustment is being carried out« and they mark the request as »completed«. With a heater, it»s 19 degrees Celsius (66°F) at home. The corner room is completely freezing.«
One user sent the mayor a photo of a frozen floor with the comment: «Svobodny Prospekt building 29A, in the apartment, 16 degrees Celsius (61°F), we aren»t living, we«re surviving. There is snow and ice on the floor. Children sleep in jackets and hats.»
«That»s brutal, of course, snow in the corner in the photo. I wanted to complain too, but mine isn«t that bad, of course. At home, I warm myself up, turn on the stove burner. Otherwise, it would be hell for my kitten,» replied another reader of Sergey Vereshchagin«s Telegram channel.
Recently, we reported that in the North-Western microdistrict a transit water pipe recently froze, which supplies cold water to kindergarten No. 235 and residential buildings. The water pipe froze because the management company left windows open overnight in the basement of the building at Karbysheva, 14.
