10-Point Traffic Jams Paralyze Novosibirsk After Major Crash
On the evening of January 21, Novosibirsk came to a standstill in 10-point traffic jams, according to data from 2GIS.
On the right bank, it is difficult to drive along Voskhođ, Boris Bogatkov, Ippodromskaya, and Voenny streets. Severe traffic jams are also observed on Krasny Prospect, Frunze, Ordzhonikidze, and Bolshevistskaya.
A 3-kilometer traffic jam has formed on the Dimitrovsky Bridge towards Proezd Energetikov. Also, on the left bank, sections of Stantsionnaya, Nemirovich-Danchenko, Sibiryakov-Gvardeytsev, and Petukhova streets have turned burgundy, indicating heavy congestion.
Traffic on the Severny Bypass was hampered on the morning of January 21 due to a major accident. Witnesses of the incident reported to NGS about a collision involving five vehicles — two heavy trucks and three foreign cars.
