Around 30 Staff at Scandal-Hit Kuzbass Med Center 'Asked' to Quit

Reports suggest that around 30 employees are being pressured to resign voluntarily at the scandal-linked center.
Employees of the Kemerovo Regional Information and Analytical Center (KOIAC) said they are being asked to submit voluntary resignation letters to reduce payouts. However, the Health Ministry denied this information on Tuesday, January 27, according to NGS42.
A woman contacted the editorial office, saying that KOIAC has started laying off employees, insisting that workers must write voluntary resignation letters.
A current employee of the organization confirmed this information, stating that the HR department directly says they won«t be laying off, but it»s necessary, so everyone is being offered to resign voluntarily.
“We need to cut 25-30 people. Some are employed at KOIAC but actually work at the Health Ministry. Moreover, the remaining staff were also ‘delighted’ to hear that funding has been cut, so salaries will be reduced by about a quarter,” the publication«s source said.
He added that there are vacancies in other institutions of the structure, and people could simply be transferred, but for some reason, this isn«t being done. Due to “optimization,” a situation is arising where one person may service three to four buildings, although at least two are needed in case one of the partners falls ill.
“Purely logically, if people are laid off, salaries should be increased — the workload is growing, but no one even talks about that,” added the center employee.
The NGS42 editorial office contacted the Kuzbass Health Ministry to confirm or deny this information. The department reported that changes are indeed taking place at KOIAC, but they allegedly do not plan to dismiss staff.
“No staff reductions are planned; the functionality of the institution«s structural subdivisions is being reviewed. An analysis of all work processes, including employee duties, will eliminate duplication of functions and improve the efficiency of work processes,” the Health Ministry said.
Moreover, according to the department, two employees resigned voluntarily, and two more were transferred to other departments. As for wages, they remain at the same level.
What KOIAC is and what it does was covered in a separate article by NGS42.RU; it gained scandalous fame after the arrest of former minister Dmitry Beglov, when it was revealed that the organization was managed by his favorite, Olesya Prindul.
