On Tuesday evening, January 20, a severe accident occurred at the 222nd kilometer of the R-22 «Kaspiy» highway in the Mikhailovsky district. A truck and a passenger car collided at approximately 17:55, according to the Ryazan Regional Police Department.
The driver and passenger of the Ford passenger car died at the scene of the accident.
According to preliminary information from the prosecutor«s office, the driver of the passenger car did not ensure safety while overtaking, resulting in a head-on collision with a truck.
Ryazan Regional Prosecutor Dmitry Kodanev has ordered a procedural check. Its progress and results are being monitored by the department.
