Omsk City Hospital No. 1 warned after mortality rate increase

Patients have been dying more frequently from digestive system diseases at the hospital.
Omsk City Clinical Hospital No. 1 has received a warning from Roszdravnadzor, Russia«s Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare. The cause was an increase in patient mortality from digestive system diseases. This indicator rose by more than 2% over the last three months of 2025.
The agency organized the inspection after receiving statistical data from the regional Ministry of Health. The information was published in the Unified Register of Inspections.
«In connection with the information received on January 21, 2026, from the Ministry of Health of the Omsk Region about an increase in mortality in the medical organization from digestive system diseases by more than 2% in the fourth quarter of 2025 compared to the previous quarter, there is reason to believe that medical care at City Clinical Hospital No. 1 named after Kabanov is provided in violation of mandatory requirements for its provision,» stated the inspection report.
