Three groups of diseases most commonly found in Novosibirsk residents during health check-ups in 2025 have been named. They were listed by Elena Aksenova, deputy minister of health for the region, at a press conference of the TASS-Siberia agency on January 23.
In first place for detectability are circulatory system diseases, with almost 70% being arterial hypertension. If this condition is corrected in time, the risk of strokes decreases. Second place was taken by respiratory diseases, and third by diabetes.
Elena Aksenova also noted an increase in the detection of oncological diseases at the first and second stages. This indicates that the health check-ups are effective.
«In first place are malignant tumors of the breast, in second — skin, and in third — colorectal cancer,» explained Elena Aksenova.
She also added that as part of the check-ups, screening for viral hepatitis C is conducted (once every 10 years): in 2025, over 100,000 residents underwent it, with 216 cases confirmed.
In total, over 1.2 million Novosibirsk residents underwent health check-ups last year.
Earlier, a Novosibirsk oncologist outlined the causes of breast cancer development — who is at risk.
