Teenagers at Novocity Mall in Chita Draw Police Attention – What's Wrong?

Similar raids will continue
Police officers arrived at the food court of the Novocity shopping center in Chita on January 30 due to complaints about crowds of teenagers who occupy seats, smoke, and use profanity. This was reported to a Chita.Ru correspondent by an eyewitness.
«In the evening at the Novocity shopping center, police officers spoke with teenagers who occupy the entire food court every day, preventing visitors from having a snack, and take up seats for hours. It is said that mall employees complained to the police that the teenagers smoke e-cigarettes and drink alcohol,» the publication«s interlocutor reported.
The press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for Zabaykalsky Krai confirmed to Chita.Ru that a preventive raid was conducted at the shopping center because reports have been coming from the mall administration and citizens about gatherings of minors who violate the rules of visiting such establishments.
«Police officers checked the identities of the young people, among whom there were both adults and those who have not reached the age of majority. Together with the mall administration, they explained to them the rules of conduct in public places and food courts. Similar raids will continue at other facilities,» added the press service.
