Meteorologist names coldest place in Petersburg at night
On the night of January 31, the temperature in central Petersburg dropped to -17.6 degrees Celsius (0.3°F), but it was colder in other districts. This was reported by the city's chief meteorologist Alexander Kolesov.

In the central part of St. Petersburg on the night of Saturday, January 31, -17.6 degrees Celsius (0.3°F) was recorded. However, the strongest frosts were in other locations, as chief meteorologist Alexander Kolesov wrote in his Telegram channel.
«Today it is very cold throughout the entire territory of both the region and the city... in the east of the region the temperature is again -28... -29 degrees Celsius (-18.4... -20.2°F), on the north of the Karelian Isthmus also -22 degrees Celsius (-7.6°F). Even in Kronstadt, the air temperature dropped to -22 degrees Celsius (-7.6°F). In the south and east of the city, it»s down to -20 degrees Celsius (-4°F), but everywhere the temperature has already started to rise,«the specialist cited the data.
It did not manage to break the temperature record of this winter this night, since warming has already begun. «We await tomorrow,» added the meteorologist.
