The court has closed for 45 days that very shashlik shop in the Industrial District where police filmed a rat on meat. About how the inspection went and what will happen to the kiosk next, the head of the regional Rospotrebnadzor (the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing), Svetlana Arkhipova, said in a broadcast on «GTRK-Samara».

Recall that the story gained publicity after a raid by law enforcement. They were checking migrants at one of the trading points. A shocking moment was caught on camera: a rat was running over meat prepared for shashlik.

«I just walked in, and on this meat, a rat like this is running,» said one of the police officers in the video.

After that, the information reached Rospotrebnadzor. As Svetlana Arkhipova explained, the agency, together with the prosecutor«s office, organized an unscheduled inspection.

«Facts of violation of mandatory requirements of sanitary legislation were established and documented. This includes the presence of rodents and non-compliance with workflow in preparation,» stated the head of the agency in the television broadcast.

The inspection materials were transferred to the court. It made a decision on the administrative suspension of the kiosk«s activity for 45 days. According to Arkhipova, the decision was made on January 22.

«When these 45 days expire, Rospotrebnadzor will conduct another inspection. Specialists will see if the kiosk owner has corrected all violations — whether he has eliminated the rodents and put things in order. And only after that will a decision be made on whether he can reopen,» noted Svetlana Arkhipova.

In parallel, the police are dealing with illegal migrants who were found during that same raid. Out of over a hundred checked, five were detained. Some tried to run away, but they were caught. Now, the issue of holding their employers accountable, who illegally employed the foreigners, is being decided.
