Residents of Neftyaniki continue to complain about an unpleasant chemical smell. A post about this appeared in the «Breathe! Omsk Project» community on VKontakte.
‘Such chemical smells not only create discomfort but can also negatively affect health and quality of life. In Omsk, this problem has been raised repeatedly, checks and air quality monitoring have been conducted, but the situation remains current,’ the author emphasized.
In the comments, people began sharing their observations of what they have been breathing in recent days. For example, someone writes that the street is constantly in smoke: ‘The stench of chemicals and gas is unbearable. There is no air. A bluish chemical smoke.’
Moreover, emission problems are observed not only in Neftyaniki but also in the city center and other districts of Omsk: ‘There is a terrible stench in the city, it«s impossible to open a window on Spartakovskaya Street in the center! So it»s not only Neftyaniki that is suffering.’
‘A dense bluish smog that stings the eyes and blocks the throat. The city center, and they are poisoning us as if in a concentration camp.’
‘On Desyatiletiya, dense smog, we simply live like in hell, I«ve been coughing for the second day from the soot, I»m already tired.’
‘Things with the air are getting worse and worse, it«s impossible to breathe. It»s really becoming scary to live here, and no matter where we complain, it«s no use, no one cares about people.’
Yesterday, a federal expert explained to NGS55.RU the nature of the origin of the chemical fog in Omsk.
