Suspect detained after fatal stabbing in drunken fight

The Investigative Committee of the Ryazan region suspects a 62-year-old resident of the Alexandro-Nevsky district of intentionally inflicting grievous bodily harm that led to death. According to the investigation, on January 18, the woman and her 69-year-old acquaintance were drinking at his apartment. A conflict occurred between them, and the suspect allegedly stabbed the man with a knife, causing him to die at the scene.

The woman is currently detained, and authorities are deciding on a preventive measure for her, the regional investigative committee«s office reported.

«At present, the necessary investigative actions are being carried out in the criminal case, aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the crime and gathering evidence,» the department added.
