A Krasnoyarsk woman started an internship at an elderly care home and fled the same day — according to her, staff swear at the grandmothers, don«t wash them, and treat them roughly. She filed a police report. NGS24.RU found out that this care home has long been known to authorities: according to the General Prosecutor»s Office registry, it was inspected 18 times over three years, and in October it was assigned a high risk category. But it continues to operate.

She witnessed beatings and unsanitary conditions during her short stay at the facility.

On January 6, a Krasnoyarsk woman came for an internship at the care home on Kirensky Street, 32m. She found the social worker vacancy for 3000 rubles a day (approximately $33 at current rates) through a free classifieds service. Instead of a normal institution, the girl found a premises with a «Gym» sign, without any identification marks.

She submitted a detailed police report outlining the instances of abuse and neglect observed.

«A drunk woman opens the door, swearing. I go in — a naked grandmother is sitting on the floor, in a puddle of urine. She sat like that for two hours. I try to help her, and they yell at me: »Don«t touch her,»« the girl told NGS24.RU.

Official records indicate 18 inspections were conducted, but the care home continued operations regardless.

According to her, there are about 20 elderly people inside, almost all bedridden, with dementia.

What the Girl Saw

She describes unsanitary conditions: a toilet covered in feces «even on the walls,» dirt in the kitchen, residents not being washed. On one of the grandmothers, she noticed severe diaper rash — «it»s clear that she wasn«t treated at all.»

But what shocked her most was the treatment of people.

«An employee pulled the grandmother by her arms so hard that she cried out in pain. And one of the owners grabbed her by the breast and started shaking her, saying vulgar things. I didn»t understand how an adult could do such a thing,« the interviewee recalls.

According to her, two sister-owners and an employee who lives there work at the care home. No one is officially registered, and there are no medical books.

Police Report

On January 8, the girl returned under the pretext of forgotten items. An elderly woman with a bruise under her eye was sitting on the floor. They explained: «She fell, hit the bedside table.»

She called the police. According to her, the patrol service officers arrived, but did not conduct a full inspection. The girl wrote a statement.

The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Krasnoyarsk Krai confirmed to NGS24.RU: the statement was registered, and officers went to the scene.

«Regarding this fact, district authorized officers are conducting an inspection,» the department reported.

At the care home itself, they say they work with documents, and the girl came for the internship allegedly drunk. Besides that, they deny the information about what happens within their walls.

«With documents. How can a care home work without documents? Visit the website »Paradise Corner.« Well, of course, [everything] is not like that. Are we not people? Don»t we have our own mothers? Our own grandmothers? Yes, we had a grandmother, brought with a bruise. She has relatives. We gave the relatives« phone number. Well, at home, probably, she hit the bedside table or fell.

Just the girl saw, came for an internship, and the grandmother fanned such a fire. She herself came for the internship drunk. She was sent away from here. Probably, out of spite, she did this,« they told the NGS24.RU correspondent at the care home.

What is This Care Home

The place is called «Paradise Corner.» On maps, it is listed at the neighboring address — Kirensky, 32, and there it has 43 positive reviews since 2017. In the reviews, they thank «director Tatyana Gavrilovna Maskalyova.» However, some reviews look suspicious: some are left from accounts with the surname Maskalyov, and the indicated contact email of the care home is maskaleva1967@gmail.com.

But the applicant worked in the neighboring building — 32m, where the interior is different and there is a «Gym» sign. At the same time, in photos from the reviews, she recognized several residents whom she saw at Kirensky, 32m.

Officially, the care home is registered to individual entrepreneur Baev Nikolai Alexandrovich. The care home«s website indicates a patent for »elderly care activities.« But the patent itself was issued for a different address — Berezina Street, 83 — and expired back in December 2022. It lists zero employees.

The care home«s website has not been updated since 2022.

18 Inspections and High Risk

According to the Unified Inspection Registry of the General Prosecutor«s Office, since 2022, the Ministry of Social Policy of Krasnoyarsk Krai has conducted 18 control measures regarding individual entrepreneur Baev. In 2025, the prosecutor»s office joined — inspections took place in August, September, and October.

According to the SPARK service, in October 2025, the ministry issued a warning and assigned the care home a high risk category. But there is a nuance: the document indicates the inspection address — Sportivnaya Street, 70. This is the registration address of individual entrepreneur Baev, not the actual address of the care home on Kirensky.

And the claims only concerned the website design: no registration data, information about staff, living conditions were indicated. Not a word about the conditions of keeping residents.

Care Home Continues to Operate

An NGS24.RU correspondent called the care home, introducing himself as a person who wants to place an elderly relative. Here«s what they answered:

— We are located at Academician Kirensky, 32m. 50,000 rubles per month for a bed place.

— Do you take bedridden patients?

— We do.

— If she starts having dementia, is that okay?

— If dementia starts, then doctors are called. He prescribes some medications.

— You don«t have a nurse or doctor right in the care home?

— No nurse. We don«t give injections. We don»t have a doctor. We change diapers, we feed, care for, and wash. But if there are any medications — then upon request we put them in a pill organizer.

— And who will look after her?

— Social workers.

— What if, for example, she feels bad? What will you do?

— We call an ambulance.

— Can we come visit her (the grandmother)?

— Yes, of course.

— At any time or do we need to coordinate?

— No. From three to seven.

According to the applicant, on the evening of January 22, officers from the Investigative Committee and the prosecutor«s office went to the scene.

Earlier, NGS24.RU managed to find out that in Krasnoyarsk there was a whole scheme where city residents for money left their relatives in a psycho-neurological dispensary without discharge.
