A 46-year-old resident of Aldan will be sent to a general regime penal colony for 1 year and 3 months for calls for extremism. He wanted to stage a revolution. This was reported on January 22 by the press service of the Federal Security Service (FSB) directorate for the Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
The court found that the man is an adherent of left-radical ideology. He wrote and distributed materials on Telegram calling for people to gather in groups to kill government officials, police officers, deputies, and judges in order to organize a revolution. The press release noted that the sentence has not yet entered into force.
In November 2025, the Yakutsk City Court handed down a sentence to a 23-year-old city resident also for calls for extremism. He called for violence against migrants in messengers.
