Yandex Taxi to refund trips from Murmansk outage zones

Yandex Taxi has announced compensation for trips for residents of Murmansk and the village of Safonovo who traveled from areas with emergency power outages. The refund is valid through January 28 inclusive.
How it works
Passengers pay for the trip in the usual way—by card or cash. After that, the trip cost is automatically refunded within three business days:
if payment was by card—the money will be returned to it;
if in cash—the passenger will receive a promo code for the trip amount.
Meanwhile, drivers receive their full earnings—all expenses are covered by Yandex Taxi.
Who can receive compensation
Together with the authorities, the service has identified zones of emergency power outages. Residents of Murmansk and the village of Safonovo making trips from these areas can expect a full refund.
It is noted that refunds for trips made after January 24 have already started arriving on residents« cards.
The compensation period may be extended—it will all depend on the stabilization of the power supply situation.
A state of emergency has been declared in the Murmansk Region. Full restoration of power supply after the accident may take at least a week. The Murmansk Region Prosecutor«s Office has already launched an investigation due to mass power outages. A criminal case has been initiated.
