Maxim Matveyev posts throwback school photo

Actor Maxim Matveyev delighted fans with a rare archival photo. The star of the series «Trigger» (18+) showed himself during his school years.

At the time, he was studying at School No. 2 in Saratov (a city in southwestern Russia) and had no idea he would achieve nationwide fame. Matveyev, incidentally, enrolled in a theater university on the recommendation of a drama teacher. It is hard to believe, but before that he wanted to become a surgeon.

«In around ninth grade I seriously began preparing for it, I wanted to be nothing but a surgeon, I already pictured myself healing with a scalpel. I liked biology and chemistry, I even started taking extra courses in those subjects. But then at some point, I do not even remember why, it all fizzled out. I intuitively understood that this was not the path I should take», the actor shared.

Incidentally, in the star«s memories Saratov remained a rebellious city. In his youth the actor wore long hair, leather jackets and Cossack-style boots and, according to him, people there did not like that sort of thing. There were times when kids who stood out stylistically were even beaten and had their hair cut. Matveyev, however, was not affected by this.
