This year in Kuzbass, as part of the national project «Infrastructure for Life,» about 70 kilometers of roads and five artificial structures spanning 709 meters are planned to be repaired. The regional administration stated on Friday, 23 January, that nearly 3.86 billion rubles (approximately $38.6 million at current rates) will be spent on this.

About 4 billion rubles (approximately $40 million) will be allocated for road repairs this year, of which 3.4 billion rubles (approximately $34 million) will come from the federal budget. The work will affect the following roads:

  • Kuzedeyevo — Mundybash — Tashtagol;
  • Belovo — Konovalovo — Prokopyevsk;
  • Novosibirsk — Leninsk-Kuznetsky — Kemerovo — Yurga;
  • Tomsk — Mariinsk;
  • Guryevsk — Malaya Salairka — Gorskino — Ursk;
  • Leninsk-Kuznetsky — Promyshlennaya — Zhuravlevo.

In the regional capital Kemerovo, work will continue on one of the largest overhaul projects—the Kuzbass Bridge. The installation of railings is currently ongoing there, and soon the improvement of the adjacent territory and the installation of lighting will begin.

In addition, in Kemerovo, the design and preparation for the major overhaul of the Southern Bridge over the Iskitimka River and the overpass over the railway tracks on Kosmicheskaya Street will begin.

Simultaneously, the road surface will be renewed on several city roads. On the section of Uglovaya Street from Gogol Street to house No. 45, new asphalt will be laid, the sidewalk will be improved, and the driveways to houses will be repaired. The work plan also includes: Logovoye Highway (from Kuznetsky Bridge to Shakhtyorov Avenue); Nakhimova Street (from Shakhtyorov Avenue to Rakityansky Street); Vera Voloshina Street (from Druzhby Street to Bazovaya Street); the passage from house 1 to house 15 on Pritomsky Avenue.

In Novokuznetsk, new pavement will be laid over an area of 270,000 square meters in all districts of the city. The longest section to be updated is Listvyanskoye Highway. The list also includes Kosygin Street, Kuibyshev Street, Narodnaya Street, the 375th kilometer, Promstroevskaya Street, Feskovskaya Street, Nogradskaya Street, Kuznetsov Street, Baidayevskoye Highway and Zavodskoye Highway, and Yermakov Avenue.
