Early morning in Shpakovsky District began with a serious traffic accident. On February 2 around 6:00 a.m., a Lada Niva veered off the roadway and overturned.

According to preliminary data from the State Traffic Inspectorate, the 51-year-old driver failed to account for road and weather conditions, lost control of the vehicle, and allowed it to leave the road and overturn.

The impact affected the passengers. Two young people—aged 18 and 19—sustained injuries and were taken to the hospital in the regional center.

As clarified by traffic inspectors, the driver is a local resident with 27 years of experience, had not been held administratively liable in the last two years, and was sober at the time of the accident. Serious consequences were largely avoided thanks to the passengers wearing seat belts.

Currently, an investigation is being conducted into the accident, and all circumstances of the incident are being established.
