Volgograd Roads Paralyzed by 10-Point Traffic Jams

The traffic jams have made movement challenging for all types of vehicles in Volgograd.
Transport in Volgograd has been paralyzed by severe traffic jams. According to data from the service Yandex Maps, the level of morning traffic reached 10 points. The transportation problem is linked to snowfall that covered streets and roads with white snowdrifts overnight.

A taxi ride from the Traktorozavodsky district to central Volgograd cost nearly 1,000 rubles (approximately $10 at current rates).
Getting to work has become a problem not only for drivers but also for public transport passengers: it, like other vehicles, is stuck in traffic. According to one passenger, morning travel time on the usual route has increased by about 1.5 times.
Taxis have also been affected: prices for morning rides on all aggregators have increased on average by almost twice.
However, the bad weather has not affected air travel: Volgograd Airport continues to operate normally. The snowfall has also not affected commuter trains: the press service of Privolzhskaya Railway said that the tracks are cleared, and train movement is on schedule.
