The congestion paralyzed both private and public transport. According to passengers, commute times to work increased by about one and a half times.
The cost of taxi rides also surged sharply — prices on all ride-hailing apps jumped on average by nearly double.
At the same time, the snowfall did not disrupt air or rail transport. Volgograd International Airport is operating normally, and the Privolzhskaya Railway commuter trains are running on schedule thanks to cleared tracks.
