Samara to widen key bridge and road to four lanes
The current roadway has become insufficient for the volume of traffic.
In Samara«s Kuibyshevsky district, a road and a bridge will be widened. The city hall reported that preparations for the project have already begun.
«This was discussed in the regional ministry of urban planning policy. The road and the bridge over the Tat»yanka River in Samara«s Kuibyshevsky district will be widened to four lanes. Documentation is currently being prepared for the project»s implementation,« the city administration also stated.
Plans to widen the road and bridge became known in September of last year. Local residents had asked the city mayor for the improvements.
In February 2025, residents of the Kuibyshevsky district complained to Ivan Noskov about traffic jams on Belorusskaya, Obuvnaya, and Osetinskaya streets, on the bridge over the Tat«yanka River, and in other areas. Efforts to improve the traffic situation in this location began with the installation of an acceleration lane for the turn from Akademika Tikhomirova Street onto Narodnaya Street. This lane was planned to be created by shifting the sidewalk.
