Prosecutor's Office to Check Why Polar Airlines Does Not Feed Passengers

The East Siberian Transport Prosecutor«s Office will check why passengers of Polar Airlines are not provided with meals during flights. This was reported on 3 February in the agency»s Telegram channel.
«Meals are provided to passengers depending on the flight distance. According to federal aviation rules, the airline is not required to provide hot meals if the flight lasts less than 3 hours. If the flight is less than two and a half hours, passengers are offered soft drinks; if longer, tea, coffee with milk, and snacks,» the airline«s press service told a 14.RU correspondent.
The check was initiated after publications on social media. For example, the Telegram channel «Diykey» published a post in which a passenger complained that since 1 February, there has been no food on the Yakutsk–Ust-Kuyga flight. The publication also indicated the ticket price — 38,297 rubles (approximately $383 at current rates).
