Legendary Ufa bus route 110S disappears as passengers face delays

Passengers experience overcrowded conditions on Ufa«s bus routes, highlighting transport inefficiencies.
It seems like a simple city route. But for thousands of Ufa residents, especially those in Inors and Sipaylovo, it is the only accessible link to the airport, the Planet shopping center, and the riverbank. We«re talking about bus No. 110S. The route, which should be the face of the transport system, is rapidly becoming its problem spot.
A reader of UFA1.RU contacted the editorial office with the issue that it is completely impossible to leave Inors in the evening. He encountered this situation on the evening of February 1.
“You can wait for the bus for more than an hour. It feels like only half of the scheduled buses are running on the route,” he writes.
The situation is paradoxical. While people are looking futilely towards Yunost, Yandex.Maps show emptiness at the terminal. Many, without waiting, leave on other routes. But when the long-awaited bus finally appears, it arrives already full from Ferina or Mendeleyeva.
“All seating places are taken, standing room is quite filled. And this isn«t even rush hour,” notes a passenger.
This bus is a lifeline for many neighborhoods.
“For the youth of Inors, it is the only way to get to the Planet shopping mall on weekends. It is also a very important route for those who want to cross to the other side of the river. For tourists and city residents living outside the city, it is the only opportunity to reach the airport.”
The outraged reader nostalgically recalls the times of the USSR. According to him, in Soviet times, there were route testers. But who now knows what ails Ufa«s transport?
“In Soviet times, there were people who stood at stops, rode in buses to assess occupancy. Now how is it determined where and how much transport is needed? Are there such specialists? Or is everything done haphazardly?”
The press service of Bashavtotrans did not provide an immediate comment on the reasons for the route delays. We have sent a written request. As soon as we receive it, we will publish it immediately.
While officials remain silent, the hashtag #110Sdoesntrun is gaining momentum.
