Kurgan Residents Report Freezing Buses on Utyak Route, City Responds
Passengers don«t like that the bus runs infrequently and is cold in winter
A photo has been published in several groups on the social network VKontakte showing the entrance door of a bus completely frozen. The post«s author, Oksana, claims that the photo was taken on bus number 14, which goes to the Utyak microdistrict.

“Dear government, we ask you to pay attention to route number 14 «Utyak Microdistrict», how long will we travel in such conditions? We are people, what other doors do we need to knock on to be heard?” wrote the author of the post.

In the comments to the post, many confirmed that bus number 14 is often cold.
“I rode on January 20 at 9:10 a.m. It was a bit better than in the photo, cold like in a refrigerator; we didn«t freeze at the stop, but by the time we reached Utyak, we were frozen stiff,” wrote Natalya.
City resident Galina also added a photo with a frozen door to the post. Moreover, townspeople claim that they freeze in the new Simaz buses.
“Shumkov was outraged that old buses were put on the line during the January holidays, yes, they are falling apart, but some are still «hanging on». PAZ buses are warmer than Simaz buses. Let Shumkov ride on one of the PAZ buses, and then on the Simaz from the photo. And compare. Comfort for passenger transport is not only about updated buses, but warmth should also be present there,” wrote Tatyana.
The author of the post, Oksana herself, also left her comment. According to her, it«s difficult in such conditions not only for passengers but also for the driver and conductor.
“People! I«m not asking for myself. First and foremost, the driver and conductor, who are in this ice age all day long. Also, people from the microdistricts Utyak, Shipatkova, Zatobolny, Glinki ride with us, and the bus is packed all the way to the city, and everyone is freezing,” asserts Oksana.
A correspondent from 45.RU clarified with the city administration whether such buses really run on route number 14. We received an answer.
“Based on this photo, it is impossible to determine when, in which bus, and in what region it was taken. Route number 14 «Market» – «Utyak Microdistrict» is serviced by Simaz brand buses from 2023. They are equipped with heating devices. No complaints from passengers on this issue have been received,” the response states.
Also, in the response, the administration promises to check whether the carrier put an old PAZ on the line instead of a Simaz.
“A request has been sent to the head of the motor transport enterprise servicing route number 14 by LLC «Kurgan City Transport» to conduct an inspection on this fact and take measures. The issue has been placed under the control of the Municipal State Institution «Transport Management»,” we were informed by the administration.
The mayor«s office emphasizes that the city is getting rid of old rusty PAZ buses, transitioning to new buses. Thus, from 2023 to 2025, 228 new buses have been updated in Kurgan. Most of them are large-class buses of the KAVZ brand.
