An emergency occurred on the railway in the Orenburg region. According to the press service of the Transport Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Urals Federal District, it happened on the section between Tochkaya and Sorochinskaya stations.
As it turned out, the 44-year-old resident of Sorochinsk was walking to a store across the railway tracks and decided to save time by crawling under the coupling of a freight train to get to the other side. However, she did not know that the train was scheduled to stop for only three minutes.
The train started moving, and at that moment, the driver received an urgent message from the station duty officer that there was a person under the train. The railway worker applied emergency braking, but a collision, which was entirely natural, could not be avoided. Hitting the coupling, the victim fell into the track, but her right leg remained lying on the rails.
The woman was taken to the hospital in Sorochinsk. The forced stop of the train lasted four minutes. Transport police are investigating the details of the incident and have already informed the injured woman«s relatives about the emergency.
