Two dead in collision on highway near Arzamas
Two people were killed and two others were injured after two passenger cars collided in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast.

The fatal road traffic accident occurred on Tuesday, 20 January, at the 82nd kilometer of the federal highway R-158 «Nizhny Novgorod – Saratov», near the village of Rozhdestvensky Maydan close to Arzamas.
According to preliminary information from the traffic police, the driver of a Skoda car entered the lane designated for oncoming traffic, resulting in a head-on collision with a Chevrolet.
Two people who were in the vehicles died at the scene from their injuries.
Two other participants in the accident with injuries of varying severity were taken to the N.A. Semashko Nizhny Novgorod Regional Clinical Hospital (in Vladimirsky).
Police officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
