A routine trip along Obvodnoye Highway in Tolyatti ended in a terrible tragedy. A 54-year-old driver of a Scania vehicle died after crashing into a road sign support. What caused the experienced truck driver to veer off course is to be determined by police and experts.

«Police are conducting an investigation into the traffic accident that occurred in the Komsomolsky district of Tolyatti. The driver of the heavy truck died. According to preliminary data, the 54-year-old driver of the Scania vehicle was operating a semi-trailer and was traveling on Obvodnoye Highway from the Povolzhskoye Highway side, in the direction of the M-5 highway. He collided with a road sign support. The cause of the driver»s death is to be determined by experts,« reported the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Samara Region.

Another traffic accident, unfortunately also with a fatal outcome, occurred in the Oktyabrsky district of Samara. A Suzuki vehicle hit an 85-year-old pedestrian. The elderly man died.
