St. Petersburg ambulance driver attack results in criminal case

A criminal case under the article on hooliganism has been opened following an incident involving an attack on an ambulance driver in the Krasnoselsky District of St. Petersburg. An official statement on this was received from the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee for the city on January 20.

According to available information, the 38-year-old driver was the victim of an attack by a passerby. The incident occurred near the entrance of a residential complex on Leningradsky Prospect on Monday night.

Police note that the victim did not suffer serious injuries and hospitalization was not required. The identity of the attacker is currently being established.

This incident is part of a series of attacks on medical workers in the city in recent months.
