In Samara Center, Suzuki Hits and Kills 85-Year-Old Man
The elderly victim succumbed to injuries immediately after the collision on a Samara street.
On Tuesday, January 20, a fatal traffic accident occurred in the Oktyabrsky district of Samara. An elderly man died in the crash. Witnesses posted videos of the tragedy on social media.
Footage from the scene circulated on a Telegram channel monitoring local road incidents.
«According to materials from the State Traffic Inspectorate, at 11:10 a.m., a Suzuki driven by a 42-year-old woman was traveling on Michurina Street. Near building No. 137, the vehicle hit an 85-year-old pedestrian,» reported the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for Samara Oblast.
It is known that the pedestrian was crossing the roadway at an unregulated crosswalk when he was hit. The man died at the scene from his injuries. Police officers are investigating all circumstances of the incident.
Another traffic accident involving a pedestrian occurred at the end of 2025. On the Tolyatti–Tashelka highway, a man born in 1959 was fatally struck. The driver fled the scene of the accident.
