Horrific Accident on Highway Near Arzamas – Two Dead, Two Injured
On Tuesday, 20 January, a fatal accident occurred in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Two cars collided on a highway near Arzamas. Details were provided by the regional State Traffic Inspectorate.
The accident happened in the morning at the 82nd kilometer of the federal highway R-158 Nizhny Novgorod–Saratov. Near the village of Rozhdestvensky Maydan, the driver of a Skoda entered the oncoming lane, where it collided with a Chevrolet. The circumstances are under investigation.
As a result, two people suffered injuries incompatible with life. Two other victims were taken to the Vladimirsky Hospital. Their condition is being clarified.

Another fatal accident at the end of the year occurred on a highway in the Pochinkovsky district. As a result of a head-on collision, one person died and two others were hospitalized with injuries.
