PARUS medical resort & SPA has been developing its rehabilitation services since 2022. A multidisciplinary team of doctors works on recovery from injuries, strokes, and operations. For a long time, severely ill patients were received mainly in the clinic«s main building, until the »Flagship« building was completed last year.

Now the rehabilitation department has found its home in a new eight-story building. The official opening took place at the PARUS medical resort & SPA complex on January 15, attended by First Deputy Governor of Novosibirsk Region Yuri Petukhov, Deputy Governor Konstantin Khalzov, and Minister of Health of the Novosibirsk Region Rostislav Zabolotsky.

«Already, patients come to us from various regions of Russia and neighboring countries. These include Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan. We have significantly updated our center»s equipment fleet and plan to further develop and improve medical programs,« commented the director of PARUS medical resort & SPA Yulia Dyachkova.

Comfortable Inpatient Care Under Round-the-Clock Control

The clinic greets visitors with fresh renovations and convenient navigation; a barrier-free environment is present everywhere — with ramps and lifting devices. Patients are accommodated in comfortable rooms with one to four beds. Each room is equipped with imported high-tech equipment.

«In the rooms and offices, there is a ceiling system for lifting and moving patients. It makes the work of nurses and orderlies easier when changing bed linen or when a person with limited mobility needs to go to the toilet or to procedures,» emphasized Yulia Dyachkova.

In the future, the clinic«s management plans to extend the rail system outside the rooms, into the corridors. This will allow patients to move from one point to any other more easily and quickly.

Helper Robots That Get People Back on Their Feet

The main pride of the department is robotic simulators. Many of them can be used in treatment from the very first days. Early mobilization is the foundation for successful rehabilitation and speeds up this difficult process.

Thanks to the MOTOmed simulator, patients can perform their first leg movements while still lying in bed: if they cannot move on their own yet, an electric motor helps. First, the patient gradually develops the skill of being in a vertical position on a verticalization bed with a lift up to 90 degrees — there are 14 such beds in the department. When a person is ready for verticalization, they can be introduced to training on specialized devices:

A complex with an exoskeleton, orthoses, and a treadmill is designed for developing legs and the pelvis. Thanks to the biofeedback system (BOS), people can immediately see their results on the screen, which motivates and helps them move more consciously;
A robotic system, whose action is based on end-effector technology, is designed for gait restoration and teaching the patient to walk in the early stages of rehabilitation.

A robotic rehabilitation system for the upper limbs handles hand development — it is an innovative mechanotherapeutic device with BOS. It is intended for passive and active exercises to restore hand function and fine motor skills.

Hydromassage and hydrotherapy are an indispensable part of recovery. During exercise, water reduces the load on the joints due to buoyancy, but at the same time engages many muscles due to natural resistance.

The main advantage of hydro procedures is the earliest possible start of rehabilitation. And they can be performed at any level of a person«s mobility. The aquatic treadmill is effective for serious injuries of the musculoskeletal system, severe forms of stroke and heart attack, cardiovascular diseases, as well as for treating sports injuries.
