Water Main Break Creates Lake on St. Petersburg Roads

A utility accident occurred on the evening of February 1 at the intersection of Lanskoe Highway and Omskaya Street in the Primorsky District of St. Petersburg.

According to eyewitnesses, around 9:00 PM, cold water began actively flooding the roadway and sidewalks, quickly creating a large puddle.
«After the leak, in about twenty minutes, a small lake formed, through which cars were barely driving,» one witness reported.
Specialists from Vodokanal promptly arrived at the scene after receiving a report and began containing the leak. After the accident is resolved, the road surface will be restored.
