Village near Volgograd again without power due to bad weather

Residents of the village of Gornaya Proleyka were left without electricity again on the evening of January 31. Power only returned to homes in the morning, but disappeared again after a few hours. Rosseti Yug explained that weather conditions are preventing the electricity from working without interruption.
Recall that yesterday, 30 January, two villages in the Dubovsky District—Gornaya Proleyka and Gorny Bakyley—were left without power. The electricity went out in homes in the morning. According to residents of Gornaya Proleyka, power returned only a day later, on the morning of 31 January, but disappeared again by evening.
«Today the power went out at about five in the evening,» residents say. «It flickered for about 15 minutes: it would turn on, then off. We don»t understand what«s happening. We have no snowfall, no ice, no wind. Maybe there»s a breakdown somewhere, but no one warned us. We«re sitting with candles again. We sat all day yesterday, and only this morning they gave us power—we were happy. And now again.»
The press service of the branch of PJSC Rosseti-Yug explained that the power outage in Gornaya Proleyka today happened for the same reason as yesterday.
«In the specified area, due to adverse weather conditions, there is ice. To prevent technical violations, power engineers are melting ice and frost deposits on individual sections of the overhead power line. Because of this, short-term power supply restrictions are possible. Power supply to consumers in the specified settlement is planned to be restored within two hours.»
Later, Rosseti Yug reported that all consumers are already connected. Residents of the village confirmed the information—the electricity has returned.
By the way, due to the worsening weather conditions, in particular the sticking of wet snow on wires, Rosseti Yug has switched to a state of special readiness.
«If necessary, teams of power engineers promptly respond to appeals from domestic consumers and eliminate local technical violations,» the press service of Rosseti Yug reported. «Reports of power supply violations and noticed damage to energy facilities can be made by phone of the company»s contact center 8 800 220-02-20 or by short number 220 (for mobile devices).«
