Updated Mine Town Park to Open This Spring, City Hall Says

Most of the updated territory of Mine Town Park in Vladivostok will be handed over in May. City head Konstantin Shestakov reported this on his personal Telegram channel.

Currently, specialists are working on utility lines and laying out the territory, as well as preparing sites for future pedestrian paths.

Special attention is paid to entertainment: there will be a whole area with attractions, a shooting gallery, and arcades. The foundation for this is almost complete, and the main structures have been delivered to the construction site.

The specialists, including employees of the architectural bureau Concrete Jungle, plan to fully complete the project in 2027.

The development project for Mine Town Park in Vladivostok was presented at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The concept of the new park was developed jointly with the city hall as part of the city«s master development plan, taking into account residents» wishes. It includes the arrangement of ponds, a water sports center, a boat station, a scenic floating trail, a main square, a dry fountain, food court bleachers, a café-greenhouse, a memorial stone «125 years of Vladivostok», a multi-level parking lot, a historical zone, a walking area, and much more.

The reconstruction of Mine Town Park began at the end of 2024, and by February 2025 the embankment of one of the lakes and a pedestrian path were presented to city residents. At that time, the territory was fenced off, and information signs about the ongoing work appeared along the entire perimeter.

The updated part of Mine Town Park, which includes this basketball court, was presented to residents of Vladivostok on September 7. The opening of the long-awaited facility was announced at the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum, and now a sports ground, food court, and children«s attractions are organized here. At the opening, Vladivostok head Konstantin Shestakov called the event the fulfillment of a long-awaited dream.
