Clients of the Balance Fit fitness studio have stated that they cannot get a refund for their membership. According to the Tyumen women, after the unexpected closure of the club, its director owes them for the classes they didn«t have time to attend.

The customer shared screenshots of her online correspondence with the club«s staff.

Victoria bought a membership for 120 workouts for 18,000 rubles (about $200 at current rates) in June last year. She says she paid in cash and was not given a service contract. In the fall, according to the Tyumen resident, the club began having problems with trainers — classes started being canceled.

«The director messed with everyone»s head for two months. She promised: «Next week there will be workouts, tomorrow there will be trainers.» The owner explained that all the trainers had fallen ill. Later it turned out that the studio«s lease agreement had already been terminated in October,» said Victoria, a club client, to 72.RU.

Only in January did the owner announce the club«s closure. A month later, the Tyumen resident was given the contract, and then she found out that in case of termination of the document, the classes are counted at 1,000 rubles (about $11) each. That is, having attended 35 workouts, Victoria would have had to pay 35,000 rubles (about $389). Based on this, the owner owes her nothing.

«I want to get my money back at the price I paid. I should be paid 12,750 rubles (about $142 at current rates),» says Victoria.

Elena faced a similar problem. She bought a four-month membership for 12,000 rubles (about $133 at current rates) in the summer.

«There were coupons for memberships to this club on the Skidkabon website. I bought a coupon and they wrote to me in a messenger: »Come for trial classes,«» explained the Tyumen resident.

She confirms that the classes stopped in early November.

«In early November the trainers left. We were told it was temporary. They said they would hire new ones and classes would resume,» says Elena. «The director began playing on our sympathy, saying that she was forced to take on extra work elsewhere.»

At least three other girls are known to have found themselves in a similar situation.

We tried to contact the club«s owner for a week — she did not answer the phone.

It is known that studios with the same name have opened in Salekhard and Labytnangi. In the chat with the girls, a person with the same first and last name as the director of the Tyumen branch is corresponding.

Earlier we wrote that Tyumen residents contacted the editorial office of 72.RU with a complaint about fraudsters who appeared on Wildberries. Money disappears from their accounts for purchases made by other people who hacked their accounts. The editorial office has received information about at least four similar stories.
