Victoria purchased a membership for 120 training sessions for 18,000 rubles (about $240 at current rates) in June of last year, paying in cash without receiving a contract. In autumn, problems began at the studio: classes were canceled due to a lack of trainers.
Elena provided additional documentation supporting her demand for a refund from the closed studio.

The director kept stringing everyone along for two months. She promised: «There will be training sessions next week, trainers tomorrow.» The owner explained that all the trainers had fallen ill. Later it turned out that the studio«s lease agreement had already been terminated in October,» said client Victoria.
In January, the closure was announced. Victoria was then given a contract stating that in case of termination, the cost of each training session is 1,000 rubles. Since she attended 35 classes, according to the document, she would have to pay 35,000 rubles (about $467 at current rates), so the owner considered that she owed nothing.
«I want my money back at the price I paid. I should be paid 12,750 rubles (about $170 at current rates),» stated Victoria.
Elena bought a four-month membership for 12,000 rubles (about $160 at current rates) in the summer, using a coupon on the discount-bon website, after which she was offered trial classes via messenger.
«In early November, the trainers left. We were told it was temporary. Supposedly, they would hire new ones and classes would resume,» noted Elena.
She added: «The director started playing on sympathy, saying that she was forced to take on side jobs elsewhere.»
At least three other girls are known to be in a similar situation.
Over the course of a week, attempts were made to contact the club owner, but she did not answer calls.
Meanwhile, studios under the same name Balance Fit have opened in Salekhard and Labytnangi. In a general chat with the victims, a person is corresponding whose first and last name match the data of the director of the Tyumen branch.
