Stray Dogs Wreck Car in Kamyshin

The vehicle«s owner chose not to file a police report regarding the damage.
Early in the morning in Kamyshin, a pack of stray dogs, while trying to chase a cat out from under a car, seriously damaged the vehicle.
According to the owner Konstantin Shipilov, the incident occurred around six o«clock. The dogs tore off the license plates, left tooth and claw marks on the bumper, and ripped out some internal components.
«In the morning, as usual, I was getting ready for work,» Konstantin said. «A neighbor calls: he says, a pack of dogs damaged your car. I look out the window, and there»s a torn-off license plate lying with the grille. I went out — the front is all bitten and chewed up. Then a neighbor from upstairs told me: the dogs chased a cat under the car, tried to get it, started jumping on the car. The neighbor scared them off. They didn«t just damage the outside, but also the inside: with the radiator, there are air ducts that they ripped out. But they apparently didn»t get to the cat — no blood.«
Shipilov explained that the pack has been living on Voinov-Internationalistov Street for several months. «An old lady lives in the house opposite. She brings them food every day. There are such kind-hearted people who won»t take them in but will bring them something to eat. This pack barks constantly at night, not letting people sleep. Plus, they run around together, scaring people. Last year, they grabbed and bit my wife«s coat. You can»t even shoo them away — there are 5–6 dogs running around, two of them are really big.«
The editorial office of V1.RU sent information about the incident to the city administration.
This is not the first case of stray dog aggression in Kamyshin. In May last year, the animals destroyed enclosures with domestic poultry and rabbits, and in June of the same year, they terrorized residents of Lesozashchitnaya Street. The city administration reported that they conduct regular capture, sterilization, and vaccination of stray dogs, after which they return them to their habitat to reduce the population.
The problem with stray dogs is also relevant for Volgograd. In the Kirovsky District, according to local residents, a pack has been attacking pedestrians for a long time. One of the victims was bitten on the leg and required medical assistance with vaccination against rabies and tetanus. This incident attracted the attention of the Investigative Committee.
