On Tuesday, July 21, rain in St. Petersburg will continue at least until midday, said the city«s chief forecaster Alexander Kolesov. The cause is an atmospheric front that is slowly moving north, passing over the city.
In the morning, the temperature in the city was around 12 degrees Celsius (54°F). After the rain stops in the afternoon, thermometers will rise to 15–16 degrees Celsius (59–61°F). Precipitation levels in the Neva Bay area reached 5 mm, and in the central part — 2–3 mm.
«Rain, albeit intermittent, will still be observed in the city in the first half of the day,» wrote Kolesov on his Telegram channel.
On Wednesday, July 22, the situation will change. Although brief showers are still possible, temperatures will start to rise: at night, 12–14 degrees Celsius (54–57°F) is expected, and during the day, the air will warm to 18–20 degrees Celsius (64–68°F).
