Sochi Registers 68 Land Plots for Apartment Buildings in 2025

In Sochi, plots under 68 multi-apartment buildings were registered in the cadastre in 2025. This work is handled by the Municipal General Plan Institute, a subordinate body of the city«s architecture and urban planning department. From the date of state cadastral registration, the land plot where an apartment building stands is transferred free of charge into common shared ownership.

«The adjacent territory of a multi-apartment building must be in the common ownership of residents if they wish to manage it. To achieve this, it needs to be formed and registered in the cadastre. The architecture and urban planning department conducts this work on a continuous basis, processing all incoming applications promptly,» said Oksana Sergienko, director of the Sochi administration«s architecture and urban planning department.

To form the plots, topo-geodetic surveys of the adjacent area are first carried out, followed by preparing location schematics on the cadastral plan and organizing public hearings. On these plots, residents can set up children«s play areas and sports facilities, and undertake landscaping improvements.

Land plot formation can be initiated either by apartment owners« applications or by the Sochi city administration itself, as reported by the mayor»s press service.
