The pensioner injured by a falling icicle in Rostov is still under medical observation. However, there is no threat to her life, said Nikita Paremuzov, head of the Sovetsky District of the city.

«This morning, I visited the woman in the hospital who was injured by an icicle falling from the roof of an apartment building. There is no threat to her life or health, and doctors are providing all necessary assistance for a speedy recovery,» the official wrote in his channel.

A massive icicle fell on the woman«s head from the roof of the apartment building at Kommunistichesky, 4/1. According to Paremuzov, »necessary work« is being done regarding the management company that services the high-rise building.

The pensioner was hospitalized on January 31. It is known that she was walking on a path when the icicle fell on her. The Rostov woman was hospitalized.

In the comments to Nikita Paremuzov«s posts, residents of the district complained that icicles are not being removed from many buildings. According to Rostov residents, management companies are not clearing ice from the sidewalks near high-rise buildings.

If the yard is not cleaned up, management companies face fines and license revocation.
