As part of preventive examinations and medical checkups, citizens of reproductive age can undergo a free assessment of reproductive health — this helps identify risks that may affect conception, pregnancy, and childbirth.

For this, you need a passport and a compulsory health insurance (OMS) policy. With an OMS policy from SOGAZ-Med, you can not only receive all necessary medical care, but also consult with insurance representatives about your rights in the OMS system, and obtain quality protection if they are violated.

Stages of the Medical Checkup

Stage 1 — Primary physical examination (available at any medical facility):

For women: palpation of the mammary glands, cervical examination, microscopic, cytological tests, and PCR test for infections (ages 18–29) — performed by an obstetrician-gynecologist;

  • For men: examination by a urologist or a surgeon with specialized training.

    If abnormalities are detected, the patient is referred for in-depth diagnostics.

    Stage 2:

    For women: ultrasound of the mammary glands and pelvic organs (at the beginning of the cycle), PCR test for urogenital infections (ages 30–49), repeat visit to the obstetrician-gynecologist;

  • For men: spermogram, infection tests, ultrasound of the prostate and scrotal organs, consultation with a urologist (or surgeon with specialized training).

    From 2026, women aged 21–49 will be able to undergo DNA testing for human papillomavirus and liquid-based cytology once every 5 years.

    More details about which examinations are included in the list of preventive measures and how to undergo them can be obtained for free from representatives of the insurance company SOGAZ-Med. To do this, simply call 8 800 100-07-02, write on the website sogaz-med.ru, or visit the nearest office.

    Important Conditions

    If the clinic lacks the necessary equipment or specialists, the medical facility is obliged to:

    arrange sample collection and send it to another medical facility (including federal facilities);

  • bring in the necessary doctors (including in the form of mobile visits) and inform citizens of the date and time of the appointment.

    The insurance company reminds: the absence of the required specialist or equipment at the local clinic is not a reason to refuse the examination. If you cannot get the prescribed examinations under OMS, you can seek help from insurance representatives. To do this, simply call 8 800 100-07-02, write on the website sogaz-med.ru, or visit the nearest SOGAZ-Med office.

    For future parents, SOGAZ-Med has launched the project PRO.Rozhdenie (PRO.Birth): it contains information about medical checkups, examinations, referrals for IVF, and other issues related to family planning.
