Perm's Closed Eco-Trail Buried Under Record Snow

The staircase on the eco-trail is buried under snow, making it resemble a long slide after the heavy snowfall.
On the night of January 29-30, Perm was hit by the heaviest snowfall in a quarter of a century. The city is still dealing with the aftermath. Everything was buried: roads and parking lots. Our journalist noted that the trail in the «Gorodskiye Gorki» park on the Yegoshikha River, currently closed due to bridge construction, can be used to measure the snow depth. We show photos.
On the evening of January 29, Perm was hit by a heavy snowfall — its peak only passed by midday on Friday. Meteorologist and Doctor of Geographical Sciences Andrei Shikhov noted that such a snowfall hasn«t been seen in the region for 25 years. A 59.RU correspondent, while walking home, noticed that the eco-trail »Gorodskiye Gorki« on the Yegoshikha River was completely buried. Pedestrians cannot walk here now, but it looks very impressive.
Under a layer of snow approximately knee-high were stairs, a viewing platform, and even beehives. On the staircase leading to the eco-trail, old tracks are visible, already dusted with fresh snow, and the steps themselves are completely indistinguishable — the entire structure now looks like a very long slide from the side.
Yesterday, due to the snowfall, Marshrutnaya Street was completely paralyzed, and in a traffic jam on Chkalova Street, a car caught fire.
