The first visitors to the new gallery noticed a small red house next to it. It stands on a hill, reached by a long staircase with bends. Previously, the structure was not visible due to construction fences. We decided to find out what this building is.

The unmarked building appears on maps as a simple «structure» without a specific address.

Residents of Perm, who attended the first tours of the gallery, began to wonder what this building is and whether one can climb the staircase. Meanwhile, on maps the house is marked simply as a «structure», and it does not have a separate address.

The numbers 1965, visible on the pediment, denote the year the building was constructed.

It is clear that the house is one-story, built of red brick. On the pediment, the numbers 1965 are laid out, indicating the year of construction.

The snowy, blocked-off staircase suggests the site has not been accessed recently.

One cannot climb to the building via the staircase — there is a metal barrier wall in front of it, and the staircase itself is heavily snowed in and not cleared. On the other side of the house is the residential complex «Sails over the Kama», but from there one also cannot get through due to high snowdrifts.
The purpose of the building was explained to us by the Ministry of Construction of the Perm Territory.
«It belongs to the Shpagin Plant, previously there was an old water metering intake unit here, and a cellular communication tower is also installed there,» the department told 59.RU. «There is a staircase on the hill because it was necessary to service the water meters and the communication tower.»
Earlier, we investigated what mysterious towers rise above the ravine opposite the Egoshikhinsky cemetery.
