Today, strong magnetic storms are being recorded in the region. According to the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy at the Institute of Cosmic Research (IKI) and the Institute of Solar-Terrestrial Physics (ISZF), the cause was a solar flare.

Auroras could be visible nationwide as the storm persists until late evening.

G2.7-level storms are forecast throughout the day, with a decline in activity expected only by the end of the day. On the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, auroras may even occur, signs of which can be observed across almost the entire country, experts note.

To protect yourself and reduce the likelihood of worsening well-being, limit physical exertion, avoid stress, maintain a routine — sleep more, go to bed earlier. It is also advisable to minimize the load on electronic devices, especially sensitive instruments, and charge your phone to avoid being left without communication. People with chronic diseases should take preventive measures and, if possible, consult a doctor.

Recall that the last time a magnetic storm raged in the region was on January 17. Then the disturbances were also related to solar activity. Their level was G1.3. This is a flare that is between weak and medium in strength.
