Finishing work on the Ice Palace on Strelka in Nizhny Novgorod has been 95% completed. There is very little left before the facility is handed over. How the arena looks inside now was shown by the regional governor Gleb Nikitin in his Telegram channel.

According to Nikitin, commissioning work is currently ongoing at the facility. The installation of internal networks and engineering equipment is almost complete.

The governor emphasized that the Ice Palace for the city is not only a new sports facility but also a future attraction point on Strelka, which will fit into the cultural-sports cluster.

«Thousands of fans, professional and amateur athletes, are waiting for it. Our common dream, which once started with sketches and plans, has today become a real, modern facility,» the governor concluded.

Initially, the move of HC Torpedo to the new arena was planned for the end of December 2025, but then Gleb Nikitin reported that it would only happen in 2026. The general director of the Center for Sports Management and Development in the region, Maxim Gafurov, also said that the approximate deadline is set for early March, but exact dates are not given, as they can change in any direction.
